Italy-Taiwan Anti-seismic technology and natural disaster prevention forum

About the forum.

The “Forum on Smart Solutions for Seismic Events “ is organized  by Lazio Innova, the regional agency supporting and financing innovation, in order to introduce some of the smart solutions and technologies  developed  in Italy to prevent, manage and give relief during seismic events and other natural disasters.

The forum is organized  in two sessions: the first one, with the support of of ENEA and INGV, will present

technologies  and methodologies for protecting the critical infrastructures, providing real time demos. The second one will be focused on the introduction of smart solutions for relief during natural disasters.

A final panel with both Italian and Taiwanese partners will seek possible ground for collaborations within the

topics of the forum.

Technologies and methodologies for protecting  the critical infrastructures

Technological and cultural heritage infrastructure are significant asset for Lazio Region and Italy at large : they have the role of providing vital services to citizens, enable the development and the production of goods and wealth, to keep alive the historical memory of the country for humanity (Lazio, the Region of Rome, and Italy, in particular, have a wide number of cultural heritage  sites etc.) The protection of these assets and  systems against natural events (and others) embraces a deployment of technologies on the one hand, and the

knowledge that all of these systems must be protected   holistically, for their great functional dependence. The speeches will therefore round on the one hand, the  technologies employed, on the other on the application  targets for CI (Rosato) and the CH (De Canio).
