2020 SCSE AI Technology, Application and Innovation for Digital Cities 2020-06-29

Following the success of the similar workshop held in SCSE2019, NCHC (National Center for High Performance Computing) continues its efforts to advance AI technology, application and innovation from the global perspective using high end computing. Due to the pandemic, the workshop now goes online and, considering the time differences between continents, the window will be limited to 2 hours.

In this workshop, the General Director of NCHC Shepherd Shi will give a short and welcome speech on Digital Transformation to open the workshop. Program Director David Corman of NSF (National Science Foundation), who is the mastermind behind the national program of Smart and Connected Communities, will give a blueprint of what states planned in this program and the current progress and challenge. Charlie Catlett of Argonne National Lab will talk about his world renown work on Array of Things, an advanced AIOT platform, that may be used as the future infrastructure of smart cities.
